Congenital Esophageal Atresia with Tracheoesophageal Fistula

Abstract
|
|
|
The esophageal atresia with tracheoesophageal fistula is one of the uncommon congenital anomalies, but there are probably local difference in its frequency depend upon the varying constisution of populations.
The lesion was previously uniformely fatal, but now it is corrected with High degree of success due to improved surgical management.
In Korea, less than 5 cases which was surgically corrected successfully were reported.
Recently we experienced one case of Esophageal Atresia with Tracheoesophageal Fistula which was treated successfully by primary surgical correction.
